ibmonitor version 1.4 released

October 13th, 2006 by Rohan

Released version 1.4 of ibmonitor after a gap of almost two years. Not many changes; don’t think it requires any more features.

But a minor aesthetic change can do wonders. Initially after invocation, there used to be a slight delay before the statistics could be seen on the screen. Well.. the delay is still there, but now the header text appears immediately. Feels more responsive now. Maybe I should rename it to “responsive bandwidth monitor”. :-)

About

ibmonitor is an interactive Linux console application which shows bandwidth consumed and total data transferred on all interfaces. It shows received, transmitted, and total bandwidth, calculates and displays the combined value of all interfaces; can display values in Kbits/sec(Kbps) and/or KBytes/sec(KBps), can show the maximum bandwidth consumed, can show average bandwidth consumption, and can interactively change its output display format.
